Skylanders Giants Pop Fizz

Skylanders Giants Pop Fizz was one of the very first figures we got to see from the Skylanders Giants video game. As Toy Fairs around the globe in 2012 allowed us to see snippets of the developing game, Pop Fizz was one of the few characters that Activision put on show. At this time he did not have an official name, and so became called the Alchemist, until Giants launched in Fall 2012, and his true name was revealed. Pop Fizz  is actually available in two different versions: Lightcore and Non Lightcore.

   

The regular Skylanders Giants Pop Fizz character is a funny looking figure! Pop Fizz is some sort of strange blue creature with big crazy yellow eyes. He is holding a potion bottle, like he is about to drink it.

The lightcore version has a slightly different pose. This verison of the figure is holding two potion bottles, and he looks like he is ready to fling at least one of them. This special version of Pop Fizz has an amazing new light technology, within the toy itself, which causes it to light up when near or on the Portal of Power. This does not need batteries, and is powered by the portal itself.

Both figures stand on a base covered in moons and stars, and this identifies that they belong to the magic Element group of Skylanders.

Pop Fizz is a reckless and crazy alchemist. He has tried so many of his own potion mixtures that he can’t even remember who or what he looked like before, and neither can anyone else! S0 many of his experiments go wrong or explode, his reputation as a reckless alchemist has spread.

 

 

 

 

Understandably, this makes others very nervous to be around him. To try and remedy this Pop Fizz tried to create the most effective charm potion ever. This unfortunately was another experiment that went wrong, and turned him into a wild beserker.

Punch Pop Fizz

We also know that there is going to be a red version of Pop Fizz, sold  with the 3DS Starter Pack. This character is known as Punch Pop Fizz, and is a special variant figure. This Skylanders figure is essentially the same as the regular pop Fizz, but painted a red color. Activision have released several variant figures sine the game launched, but Punch Pop Fizz was one of the very first.

Pop Fizz is available in a single character pack, and also as part of a triple pack containing Whirlwind and Trigger Happy. The lightcore version of the figure is not ye available for release. Once we have any additional information, we will update this page.
